In their spring 2011 newsletter the Bangor Humane Society set a goal of increasing their adoption rate to 85%. In this show Kate and Don talk with Suzan and Stacey how they accomplished this goal with help from the community, and what BHS needs to do to keep finding homes for the pets in their care. We also discuss how Governor LePage's proposed budget would gut the HELP FIX ME spay/neuter fund which would essentially flood state shelters and humane societies with thousands of homeless pets and would only save tax payers $0.36/year/household. Please call and email your legislators.
