[Click on image for audio] - As you get your family, home and
hearth prepared for the happy yet hectic holiday season, keep your
pets in mind.
The holidays mean lots of food and goodies around, food that may be delicious to us but toxic to our pets. Make sure to keep food in a place where your pets can't reach it.
Christmas trees, as well as the ornaments that go on them, can be very attractive to both dogs and cats. Make sure that your tree is located in an area that your pets cannot access when you're not at home. Avoid ornaments that are made from food. Tinsel can be very attractive to dogs and cats and can also be fatal if ingested.
Keep your pet safe from poisonous holiday plants such as holly, mistletoe and poinsettias.
